Ideas for paintings are starting to accumulate. You know how much I wish I could paint straight from the unconscious, in the flow of life, a stream of consciousness. But alas, when I step in the river I am like this guy—which way do I go? This thumbnail sketch shows a naked man knee deep in a stream, looking this way and that at two different women who are crossing the river in two different directions ahead of him. Plus a medusa oak tree and some other notes.
